Custom Yacht Signs
Frequently asked questions.
Materials, pricing, lead times, and dockside installation, answered by the team that builds every sign in house.
Who makes 3D illuminated yacht signs in Southern California?
Custom Yacht Signs, based in Marina del Rey, designs, CNC-machines, mirror-polishes, wires, and installs 3D LED-illuminated yacht names entirely in-house. Most Southern California sign shops outsource fabrication to out-of-state manufacturers. We're one of the only fully in-house operations on the West Coast.
What materials are used for illuminated yacht names?
We use mirror-polished 316 marine-grade stainless steel and cast acrylic for the letter faces, CNC-cut acrylic mounts, and marine-grade halo or back-lit LEDs rated for continuous saltwater and UV exposure.
How much does an illuminated 3D yacht sign cost?
Most projects range from around $2,500 for smaller stainless names up to $15,000+ for large super-yacht installations. Final pricing depends on letter height, material, LED style, and yacht length. We quote a fixed price after reviewing transom photos and dimensions.
How long do marine LED yacht signs last?
Our marine-grade LED signs are engineered for a 50,000+ hour service life and are built to withstand saltwater corrosion, UV degradation, and LED failure.
Do you install dockside in Marina del Rey and Newport Beach?
Yes. We install dockside at every major Southern California marina including Marina del Rey, King Harbor, Long Beach, Newport Beach, Dana Point, and San Diego, with no haul-out required.
How long does a custom yacht sign take to build?
Most dimensional signs are designed, machined, finished, and installed within three to four weeks of approving the rendering. Vinyl lettering and registration numbers are typically ready in about a week.
Do you offer vinyl lettering as well as dimensional signs?
Yes. We produce hand-finished vinyl transom names, hailing ports, hull graphics, and USCG documentation numbers alongside our dimensional and illuminated work.
